God's Plan

By Roy Lessin, Co-Founder, DaySpring Cards

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
~~Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

God has a plan for your life.
He brought you into this world to fulfill that plan.
It is the best plan that anyone could ever make for you.
It is a plan that will bring Him the greatest glory and you the greatest good.
From the beginning of this calendar year until its end,
God is working out His plan.
As you follow God's plan for your life, you do so by faith.
It is important to remember that He is the Guide and you are the follower.
He does not need to bring you into His planning room
as a consultant to help Him decide what is best for your life.
God has called you to trust Him and to take the next step of obedience according to His will. God has said,

"I will bring the blind by a way they did not know;
I will lead them in paths they have not known.
I will make darkness light before them,
And crooked places straight.
These things I will do for them, And not forsake them."
~~ Isaiah 42:16 NKJV

Here are some ways that God is working out His plan:
He is your Shepherd—He is leading you.

He is your Provider—He is taking care of you.
He is your Strength—He is enabling you.
He is your Counselor—He is speaking to you.
He is your Shield—He is protecting you.
He is your Comfort—He is encouraging you.
He is your Father—He is blessing you.

Marco Polo (1254-1324,Italian traveller & adventurer),

Khan

In His Hands

Our times are in His hands.

AT THE END OF EACH YEAR,
a calendar is like an album containing little snapshots of what we've done and where we've been.

At home, our family has one simple rule, "Write everything down in pencil."

One important lesson a calendar teaches us is that plans can change.

Doctor's appointments get canceled, dinner dates get rescheduled,
and anticipated events don't work out.

Thankfully, that doesn't mean that our lives are out of control, that nothing is certain, and that there's nothing we can trust in.

===================================================================

God wants you to move through this day with a quiet heart, an inward assurance that He is in control, a peaceful certainty that your life is in His hands, a deep trust in His plan and purposes, and a thankful disposition toward all that He allows.

He wants you to put your faith in Him, not in a timetable.

He wants you to wait on Him and wait for Him.

In His perfect way He will put everything together... see to every detail...
arrange every circumstance... and order every step to bring to pass what He has for you.

Inspirational Memories

"The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever."
~Isaiah 40:8 NIV

I'M SO GLAD GOD DECIDED to put His thoughts and feelings into the written Word!

I love to know that He thinks about us constantly and carries us in the palm of His hand.

When we take time to record memories, we truly give ourselves a gift to be opened over and over again.

We can recall times of laughter, be encouraged by God's faithfulness in difficult situations, and feel a sense of comfort by expressing and managing the emotions He's given to us.

It feels good to revisit the joys and even the struggles in our lives, because God is working in us and building our trust through every circumstance.

We never outgrow His gentle and wise instruction.

We never graduate from the learning process.

The busy summer months are passing quickly once again.

We might all use that realization as a little nudge to begin a photo essay on the days God has given us on earth.

No due dates, no grading scales, simply an opportunity to appreciate the gift of captured memories--
and a chance to allow God to encourage our hearts and remind us of His continued faith--fulness.

A memory filled scrapbook or album is one of most treasured possessions...
and can be one of our greatest teachers.

A Summer Prayer

LORD,

Our days are long and our schedules are full.

You said when we are weary we can come to you and you will give us rest.

So we come to you now and ask you to...

Renew our spirits.

Restore our strength.

Refresh our hearts.

Thank you for being the source of all we need to do everything.

You have called us to do.

Wherever we go, and whatever we face today,

may we live in Your presence because that is the only place

we can truly be rejuvenated.

Amen.

The Impact of One Life

When a stone is dropped into a lake, it quickly disappears from sight--

but its impact leaves behind a series of ripples that broaden and reach across the water.

In the same way, the impact of one life lived for Christ will leave behind an influence for good that will reach the lives of many others.

An Interview with Rick Warren

You will enjoy the new insights that Rick Warren has, with his wife now having
cancer and him having "wealth" from the book sales. This is an absolutely
incredible short interview with Rick Warren, "Purpose Driven Life " author and
pastor of Saddleback Church in California.
In the interview by Paul Bradshaw with Rick Warren, Rick said: People ask me,
What is the purpose of life? And I respond: In a nutshell, life is preparation for
eternity. We were made to last forever, and God wants us to be with Him in
Heaven.
One day my heart is going to stop, and that will be the end of my body - but not
the end of me.
I may live 60 to 100 years on earth, but I am going to spend trillions of years in
eternity. This is the warm-up act - the dress rehearsal.
God wants us to practice on earth what we will do forever in eternity.
We were made by God and for God, and until you figure that out, life isn't going
to make sense.
Life is a series of problems: Either you are in one now, you're just coming out of
one, or you're getting ready to go into another one.
The reason for this is that God is more interested in your character than your
comfort. God is more interested in making your life holy than He is in making your
life happy.
We can be reasonably happy here on earth, but that's not the goal of life. The
goal is to grow in character, in Christ-likeness.
This past year has been the greatest year of my life but also the toughest, with my
wife, Kay, getting cancer.
I used to think that life was hills and valleys - you go through a dark time, then
you go to the mountaintop, back and forth. I don't believe that anymore.
Rather than life being hills and valleys, I believe that it's kind of like two rails on a
railroad track, and at all times you have something good and something bad in
your life.
No matter how good things are in your life, there is always something bad that
needs to be worked on.
And no matter how bad things are in your life, there is always something good
you can thank God for.
You can focus on your purposes, or you can focus on your problems.
If you focus on your problems, you're going into self-centeredness, which is "my
problem, my issues, my pain." But one of the easiest ways to get rid of pain is to get
your focus off yourself and onto God and others.
We discovered quickly that in spite of the prayers of hundreds of thousands of
people, God was not going to heal Kay or make it easy for her.
It has been very difficult for her, and yet God has strengthened her character,
given her a ministry of helping other people, given her a testimony, drawn her
closer to Him and to people.
You have to learn to deal with both the good and the bad of life.
Actually, sometimes learning to deal with the good is harder. For instance, this
past year, all of a sudden, when the book sold 15 million copies, it made me
instantly very wealthy.
It also brought a lot of notoriety that I had never had to deal with before. I don't
think God gives you money or notoriety for your own ego or for you to live a life of
ease.
So I began to ask God what He wanted me to do with this money, notoriety and
influence. He gave me two different passages that helped me decide what to do,
II Corinthians 9 and Psalm 72.
First, in spite of all the money coming in, we would not change our lifestyle one
bit. We made no major purchases.
Second, about midway through last year, I stopped taking a salary from the
church.
Third, we set up foundations to fund an initiative we call The Peace Plan to
plant churches, equip leaders, assist the poor, care for the sick, and educate the
next generation.
Fourth, I added up all that the church had paid me in the 24 years since I started
the church, and I gave it all back. It was liberating to be able to serve God for free.
We need to ask ourselves: Am I going to live for possessions? Popularity? Am I
going to be driven by pressures? Guilt? Bitterness? Materialism? Or am I going to
be driven by God's purposes (for my life)?
When I get up in the morning, I sit on the side of my bed and say, God, if I don't
get anything else done today, I want to know You more and love You better. God
didn't put me on earth just to fulfill a to-do list. He's more interested in what I am
than what I do.
That's why we're called human beings, not human doings.

Happy moments, PRAISE GOD. Difficult moments, SEEK GOD.

Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD. Painful moments, TRUST GOD.

Every moment, THANK GOD.

This is beautiful and food for the soul.
A friend sent it to me, and I would like to share it with you.

Prayer of St. Francis

Music: Allen POTE
Words: St. Francis of Assis

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, thy pardon, Lord.
Where there is doubt, let there be faith.

Oh, Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there's despair, let me bring hope.
Where there is darkness, let there be light.
Where there is sadness, let there be joy.

O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.

Oh, Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
and it is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life, to eternal life.

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace,
an instrument of thy peace. Amen.

神聖的主宰,懇求你教導你兒女,少求安慰,多去安慰人;

每當唱到此歌時,我會聯想到另一首「聖法蘭西斯禱文」,英文卻有著另一個名稱 "Make Me a Channel of Your Peace",這一首詩歌,與 "Prayer of St. Francis" 真的有著異曲同工之妙。

Music: Sebastian TEMPLE
Words: Francis of Assisi

1. Make me a channel of Your peace.
Where there is hatred let me bring Your love;
where there is injury, Your pardon, Lord;
And where there's doubt, true faith in You. (Refrain)

2. Make me a channel of Your peace.
Where there's despair in life let me bring hope;
Where there is darkness, only light;
And where there's sadness, ever joy. (Refrain)

3. Make me a channel of Your peace.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
In giving to all men that we receive,
And in dying that we're born to eternal life.

Refrain:
Oh, Master, grant that I may never seek
So much to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love with all my soul.

1. 使我作你和平之子,在憎恨之處播下你的愛;

2. 使我作你和平之子,在絕望之處播下你盼望;

3. 使我作你和平之子,在赦免時我們便蒙赦免;

哦,主啊使我少為自己求,少求受安慰,但求安慰人;

Marry Me Today

(Featuring Jolin)

Jolin In The House DT In The House (x3)
Our Love in The House Sweet Sweet Love

(I'm Missin' You)

(Rap)
Hey Hey, Uh Uh
Yes, I Do!
